Automate drag, not judgment
Good first workflows remove repetitive research, drafting or reporting. Keep humans in the loop for customer-facing claims, pricing and anything regulated.
Define the handoff
Write who reviews AI output, where it lives, and what “done” means. Without a handoff, automation creates more cleanup than it removes.
Measure hours saved honestly
Baseline the task before automation. Track cycle time and error rate after. If you cannot measure it, you cannot improve it.
